Reportedly, NVIDIA is expected to unveil their next-gen GeForce GTX 11XX cards this month and release in August – September. Now Laptop Media has revealed that Lenovo plans to release a new version of the Legion Y530 notebook with a Nvidia GTX 1160 graphics card in Q4 , offering users a significant upgrade over the current notebook’s GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti powered variants.

Laptop Media has listed the GPU with a 6GB frame buffer. That indicates, Nvidia doesn’t plan to increase the VRAM capacities of their 11-series of graphics cards but we should expect NVIDIA to use tap that new GDDR6 technology which will give the mid-range GPU a nice bump in any laptop. Which would be a large performance jump in bandwidth section.
